MY FEDERATION HISTORY:

When I first started fishing with the Federation it was all about friendships, camaraderie and tournaments that kept me coming back for more.  In or about 2001, an opportunity arose for me to get involved in the NJBF youth program and assist with the formation of a second NJBF youth chapter.  Without hesitation, I grasped the opportunity to get involved with the youth.  I acted as a senior advisor for the youth chapter members and served as a boat captain at club tournaments, divisional tournaments, and state championship tournaments.   Thereafter, I was appointed by the NJBF Board as the Youth Chapter Coordinator to assist the Youth Director by coordinating and organizing the various youth tournaments.   After working with the youth for about five years, I was elected to the Board as the Executive Officer and appointed as the Youth Director.

I have had the pleasure of being a member of many organizations over the years.   However, my membership in the New Jersey Bass Federation has, by far, been the most fulfilling and rewarding for me.

MY MISSION STATEMENT:  As the Youth Director of the NJBF, my mission is to continually strive to advance the youth program and promote the sport of bass fishing with today’s youth.  Words cannot express how much I enjoy being able to share my knowledge and passion for the sport with today’s youth.

PERSONAL INFORMATION:  I grew up in a large family with 2 sisters and 3 brothers.  I met my wife, Dorothy, on a blind date in 1981.  We were married in the summer of 1982 while I was serving in the United States Marine Corp.   I am blessed to have married a woman who enjoys bass fishing as much as I do and supports me in all my fishing related endeavors.

MOST MEMORABLE FISHING:  Top water fishing for smallmouth bass in Maine.
