Minutes of May 12th, 2010 Federation meeting

The meeting was called to order at 8:10 pm by President Tony Going:

The following chapters were not in attendance: Back to Back; Bass Assassin Six; Bass Kickers; Bergen; Berkley; Bucketmouth; Clearwater; Cullin Bass 6; Essex County; Greenback; Lake Hopatcong; NJ Bass Hunters; North Jersey Bass Anglers; Northern NJ Bassmasters; First Generation Bassmasters; East Coast Bass Anglers; and Warren County.
            
The Minutes from the April 2010 were read by Secretary Bruce Stovall.  The minutes were accepted via motion/second.

The Treasury Report was read by Treasurer Jim Bartolotto.  The Treasury Report was read and accepted via motion/second.

The Tournament Report was given by Tournament Director Al Purdy.  Al reminded the members that the Candlewood tournament will start at 7:00 am. Pay particular attention to those folks directing traffic. Specific instructions will be provided at sign-up. Reminder that we are guests, be courteous, we want to keep our welcome open to this fishery.

Team Tournament 19-23rd official practice. Insurance is required, 7 boats per team max during practice. Make arrangement with Al Purdy for child spouse girlfriends/fiancée to practice. Remember we are guests on these waters, be good sportsman. Check the website for details on the team tournament.

Tony stressed how important it is to be on our best behavior. NJBF wants to return to this wonderful fishery.

Executive Officer/Youth Director Forest Honeywell thanked all of the volunteers who helped with all of this year’s kids casting events.  The casting event was held on May 1 at Camp Wennabago Boy Scout Camp. 

Forest indicated that longtime member Bob Cichetto had passed and the youth program received several donations. From the following: On behalf of Bob Cichetto and NJBF youth organization would like to thank all who donated. NJBF is also donating 200.00 to the youth organization in memory of Bob Cichetto. This donation was approved by all in attendance.

Jim Bartolotto spoke on behalf of Tony concerning his trip to the TBF Nationals. He detailed one of the venders, All Pro Rods (APR), interested in entering a partnership with NJBF. At the end of Year, APR will give a check to the state for all sales from NJ. Jim also outlined other sponsors that were discussed at the presidents meeting at the Nationals.

Secretary Stovall talked about 2011 Reel to Reel, he encouraged the membership to begin looking for sponsors as the deadline for getting ads is fast approaching and he would be reminding folks throughout the summer. Sponsor letter will be made available at the July Federation meeting.

A Quantum PT rod raffle was held.  The winner was Mr. Appuluccio

A motion was made and seconded to adjourn the meeting at 9:19 p.m.
