The Minutes from the February 12, 2010 were read by Recording Secretary Nick Angiulo.  The minutes were accepted via motion/second.

The Treasury Report was read by Treasurer Jim Bartolotto’s absence.  The Treasury Report was accepted via motion/second.

The Tournament Report was given by Tournament Director Al Purdy.  Al reminded the members that the final Team Tournament rosters will be due at the April 2010 meeting.  He emphasized that during the official practice period (June 19 through June 23), only six boats per club are allowed on the water.  Also, only official team members, their alternate, and either children under 16 or an angler’s spouse are allowed to fish on those days.  Al also indicated there will be no off limits prior to the official practice period.  He reminded members how to fill out the Team Tournament rosters and to include insurance forms for any boaters or potential boaters (if your insurance expires between April and the event, make sure to update the Policy and inform Al).  The Team Tournament extra boat draw will be done at the April meeting.

Al indicated that the 2010 Policy and Procedures manual will be ready at the April meeting.  He further stated that there will be no off limits periods for any 2010 point tournaments.

Al reminded the member that the first point event is on May 23 at Candlewood Lake.  The earlier the applications are in, the better.  Also, let Al know if you will be driving to a ramp with more than one angler for that event so he can coordinate ramps.

Tony indicated that Stratos boats will now also be built at the Ranger Boats plant.  Champion boats are in “limbo” for the time being. Tony stated that he received an e-mail from Irwin Jacobs from FLW Outdoors which indicated that even though they will be cutting back, they will be keeping the organization running as it has.

Tony explained more about the Berkley program for clubs. Tony talked about a possible rod deal for the Federation, where each member will receive a 20% discount on certain rods.

Tony reminded the members to pay attention to the federal government and its current attempts to restrict access to fishable waters and to keep abreast of such efforts and be active and vocal about keeping fishing access.

Jim Bartolotto gave the environmental report in Environmental Director P.J. Bartolotto’s absence.  Jim indicated that the new 2010 fishing regulations are on the Division of Fish and Wildlife’s website.  He indicated that the fishing license price is not going to be increased and license sales were significantly up in 2009.  He also informed the members about Lake Audrey, a new smallmouth fishery in southern New Jersey.  Also, he reported that any snakeheads caught on the Delaware River should be killed and reported to the Division of Fish and Wildlife immediately.  Finally, he indicated that there is a program to eradicate the water chestnuts in Lake Musconetcong.

A rod raffle was held.  The winner was Ralph Campitello.   The Federation received $92.
A motion was made and seconded to adjourn the meeting at 9:10 p.m.
