


Minutes of June 11, 2010 Federation meeting.
The meeting was called to order at 8:04 p.m. by President Tony Going. Vice President Mike Hart was not in attendance.
The following chapters were not in attendance: Back to Back; Bass Kickers; Bergen; Berkley; Bucketmouth; Castaway; Central NJ Bassmasters; Clearwater; Cullin’ Bass Six; East Coast; Essex County; First Generation; Jackson; Mega Bass 6; North Jersey Bass Anglers; Warren County.
The Minutes from the May 12, 2010 Federation meeting were read by Recording Secretary Nick Angiulo. The minutes were accepted via motion/second.
The Treasury Report was read by Treasurer, Jim Bartolotto. The Treasury Report was accepted via motion/second.
The Tournament Report was given by Al Purdy. Al stated that the Candlewood Tournament was a great success with 70 limits. He recapped the event’s winners. Al stated that everything for the Team Tournament was a go. The official practice is sunrise June 19 to 1 p.m. on June 23. The Captain’s meeting at the Ticonderoga ramp will start at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23; and will be followed at 4:00 p.m. by the tournament contestant pairings meeting. Every participant needs to be at the parings drawing. Al indicated that both tournament days’ first flight will run from 6:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The event will blast off earlier if all are prepared and there is safe light. Al noted that for this Team Tournament only, any rostered member will be allowed to fish to try to increase participation. This is being implemented for this year’s event only given the tough economic climate. He indicated that the Board has authorized this procedure. There were no objections from the members in attendance. He indicated that as of right now, at least 185 participants are scheduled to attend, which is significantly more than the past two years’ events. President Going reminded everyone again to be on their best behavior at Lake Champlain.
Executive Officer/Youth Director Forest Honeywell presented $81 for the Youth Fund from show donations.
Charles Gahrmann, Treasurer of the Raritan Valley Bassmasters, gave a report of the club’s outing it recently held for kids in conjunction with the Green Brook Police Department. He indicated that many kids participated and he presented pictures and will provide an article for the website. He asked the Federation for a $100 donation for holding this event. Tony thanked the club, and indicated that it would receive the check.
Tony indicated that a club can purchase 12 sublimated shirts for only $52 per shirt from Gemini Shirts.
Secretary Bruce Stovall reminded the members about the 2010 Reel to Reel. He indicated he recently got a second quote for costs for printing which would be compared to prior year’s costs. He indicated that clubs should be looking for sponsor ads early. He will have the sponsor letter available at the July Federation meeting.
Environmental Director P.J. Bartolotto indicated that on the Legislature website, you can pull up bill S1955 for Greenwood Lake/Lake Hopatcong fees. He indicated it may be amended to take out fees for the homeowners.
A drawing for a Quantum PT rod was held. The winner was by Ken Gremli. The drawing collected $107.
A motion was made and seconded to adjourn the meeting at 8:56 p.m.
