
Minutes of April 9, 2010 Federation meeting.
The meeting was called to order at 8:10 p.m. by President Tony Going. Environmental Director P.J. Bartolotto was not in attendance.
The following chapters were not in attendance: Back to Back; Bergen; Clearwater (excused); Cullin Bass 6; East Coast Bass Anglers; First Generation; Warren County.
The Minutes from the March 12, 2010 were read by Recording Secretary Nick Angiulo. The minutes were accepted via motion/second.
The Treasury Report was read by Treasurer Jim Bartolotto. The Treasury Report was accepted via motion/second. Tony indicated that Ron Schneider and Chris Oeser were given $1,500 each to allow them to pre-fish for the upcoming Nationals. Also, Jim stated that $499 was collected for the Youth Fund from the various winter outdoor shows and almost $1,300 was collected based on the sales of sunglasses which, minus the TBF’s cut, will be placed in the General Fund.
The Tournament Report was given by Tournament Director Al Purdy. Al reminded the members that the final Team Tournament rosters were due with insurance. Also, he indicated that will be a full set of specific Team Tournament rules with the new Policy and Procedures Manual. Those documents will be posted on the website in the near future. He stated that for Lake Champlain, loose weights that are lead and are less than ½ ounce cannot be used in Vermont waters. Lures such as jig heads, spinnerbaits, etc., with lead heads must be at least 1.5 inches in length. No such prohibition applies to New York waters. He also indicated that the rule on who is allowed to fish in practice in the Team Tournament has been expanded to allow girfriends/fiancées.
Executive Officer/Youth Director Forest Honeywell thanked all of the volunteers who helped with all of this year’s kids casting events. There is one more such event on May 1 at a Boy Scout Camp. He could use as many volunteers as possible. Contact Forest directly. He also stated that he received donations from the Father Time group and the Pequest Hatchery for the Youth Fund totaling $81.
Forest indicated that longtime member Bob Cichetto had a recent serious medical issue and he is in very bad condition. He asked that the members keep Bob in their prayers.
Secretary Bruce Stovall made a presentation of the current Policy and Procedures and Tournament Rules via projector. He encouraged members to print out copies of these documents from the website as hard copies will not be provided. He briefly went through all of the information. He specifically highlighted and read the new tournament rule regarding GPS devices.

Tony presented the TBF sunglass program, where clubs can purchase kits which include five pairs of glasses and pouches, and resell at a profit.
Tony stated that Federation recently purchased many Quantum PT rods at severely discounted prices. They will be sold to the membership for $25; as well as be used for raffles and tournaments giveaways.
Tony indicated that the extra prize money for the tournaments this season was derived from sales of oil, life vests, trolling motors, and other items, including proceeds collected from the various raffles held at the monthly meetings.
A Quantum PT rod raffle was held. The winner was Kyle Hesson. The Federation received $154.
A motion was made and seconded to adjourn the meeting at 9:09 p.m.
